EL5 Number Groups filter not same as EL4

EL5 Number Groups filter not same as EL4

Postby Elpidio » Tue Jan 18, 2011 7:54 am

Hi Stan, when I filter the whole pkg.6/49 with the Number Groups filter of EL5 with settings:
1-9 Number in group Min: 0 Max: 2
10-19 Number in group Min: 0 Max: 2
20-29 Number in group Min: 0 Max: 2
30-39 Number in group Min: 0 Max: 2
40-49 Number in group Min: 0 Max: 2
At least 4 to 4 groups must pass.
Accept
The tickets left in the package still contents three numbers from group 1-9, three numbers from group 10-19, three numbers from group 20-29, three numbers from group 30-39 and three numbers from group 40-49. My question, what is the purpose of the parameter of the filter "Number in group Min:0 Max:2"? I was aiming to have tickets left in the package with group distribution of
2 2 1 1 0, 2 2 1 0 1, 2 2 0 1 1, 2 0 2 1 1, 2 0 1 2 1, 0 2 2 1 1 etc. just like in EL4. I am confused, please enlightened me. Thanks

you chose option 4 to 4 groups must pass but there are 5 groups being used in the filter. that means one of the groups will always fail when a ticket is accepted. so for example an accepted ticket will have 0 to 2 numbers from group1, 0 to 2 from group2, 0 to 2 numbers from group3 and 0 to 2 numbers from group4 but it will also have more than 2 numbers from group5 as one of the defined groups must fail.

Stan thanks for your early reply, but still I'm not clear about this Number Groups filter. Ok, maybe you can give me the setting on this filter to achieve my aim to have tickets left in the package after filtering that contents group distribution of 2 2 1 1 0, 2 2 1 0 1. 2 2 0 1 1, 2 1 2 1 0, 2 1 2 0 1, 2 0 2 1 1, 2 0 1 2 1. 0 2 2 1 1, 0 2 1 2 1, 0 1 2 2 1, 0 1 1 2 2 etc. only. Thanks,

Stan, I've tried your settings but still there are tickets left in the package that contents 3 group counts (2 2 2 0 0 ex. ticket no. 1 2 10 11 20 21). my aim is to have 4 group counts of tickets left in the package as sampled above post just like the results in Number Groups filter of EL4.

I hope there is a setting in EL5 Number Groups filter that will have results like in the picture above. Thanks
