Automated filter running

Automated filter running

Postby Falcon » Mon Feb 08, 2016 9:11 am

Hi Stan,

Under Automation there is a process "Run Filters". The current arrangement is that each filter gets to process the Input File/Package in its own right and so give a specific and individual output dependent on the properties of that filter.
Might there be an additional process (eg via a tick box) in this Automated function so that the process becomes sequential ie the output of one filter process becomes the input of the next filter? Thus an initial package can be subject to all filters under the one automated filter run.

thanks

Hi Falcon

I am not totally sure but I think you can do what you want with the Complex Filter. You can add as many filters as you like to a Complex Filter and run or disable them as you wish.

Hope this helped.

Thanks Ralphj,

Yes putting a list of filters into their own complex filter will perform a total filter process.

With the Automated tool I was looking for extra versatility - when you are already in that tool might it perform more than the single function.

Not the highest priority suggestion but perhaps one day.
