Wouldn't a filter(s) involving high vs low last digit numbers be useful?

EL has a few ways to do this. It depends on your strategy or statistics(etc.) needed for high vs. low digits. Can you give an example?

Oops ...... asked a question then forgot to check back for replies. I think I have sorted out something by way of using number groups. Keep forgetting we can use multiple instances of the same number group to get a result we want. Anyway, thanks for showing an interest.
