WN filtering based on matching previous draws

WN filtering based on matching previous draws

Postby Radu » Thu Aug 05, 2021 10:29 am

Hi,

Is there any way to filter the WN based on the matching of 1...N of numbers in a previous draw? For example, filter all the draws that had a previous draw containing any amount from 1 to 5 of numbers N1,N2,N3,N4,N5? Even better if I could select the amount of numbers N1,N2,N3,N4,N5, for example at least 2 or at least 3 from these N1...N5 numbers? Thanks

'Match Winning Numbers' with a selected draw range. In the filter; Select...-> Latest Range(Latest draws {X] to [X]). Would this work?

Hi, thanks for the tip but I don't see any "Match Winning Numbers" option in the list of Available Filters from the "Filter" option of "Select Draws". There is only "Match Numbers" that only gives the choice of a hard-coded list of numbers. I can't reproduce your suggestion, sorry.

Hi Radu,
It's the first filter listed under the "Wining Numbers" sub-menu.

Hi, yes I see it but as much as I tested it:
1) It applies only to the Package Table not the Winning Numbers Table. My final goal is to run analysis on these selected draws.
2) It can only accept reject the draws that CONTAIN / LACK the numbers in the selected filter draws not the ones FOLLOWING a matching pattern to the filter draws. What I ned is something like this algorhythm: Bring me the draws that FOLLOW all the draws that contain a 1...TO....N numbers that have appeared in a certain draw.

Thanks

Hi Radu.

You mean for a back-test or ticket statistics/properties analysis?
Radu wrote:...Bring me the draws that FOLLOW all the draws that contain a 1...TO....N numbers that have appeared in a certain draw.

Here are some quick examples from a back-test in a Complex Filter...

Example back-test for 'Match Winning Numbers' 3 (5 latest draws - Wed 1st, Wed 2nd, Sun 1st, Sun 2nd);

2010/25 Wed 2nd - 9,12, 23, 34, 39, 49 [24] <- This ticket is accepted, because in 5 previous draws, 1 draw matched 3 of its numbers(bonus not included).
2010/25 Wed 1st - 1, 6, 22, 24, 34, 40, [33]
2010/24 Sun 2nd - 8, 12, 23, 31, 37, 49, [27]
2010/24 Sun 1st - 11, 19, 28, 29, 32, 39, [30]
2010/24 Wed 2nd - 12, 25, 27, 33, 35, 41, [20]
2010/24 Wed 1st - 1, 5, 27, 33, 39, 48, [36]

Example back-test for 'Repeating Numbers' min=3, max=3 (5 latest draws - Wed 1st, Wed 2nd, Sun 1st, Sun 2nd);

2010/28 Sun 2nd - 23, 29, 36, 42, 44, 47 [7]<- This ticket is accepted, because in any of the 5 previous draws there were exactly 3 matches(bonus & duplicate #'s not included).
2010/28 Sun 1st - 6,13,14,19, 41, 42 [29]
2010/28 Wed 2nd - 2,13, 16, 17, 25, 40 [27]
2010/28 Wed 1st - 16, 18, 22, 23, 28, 29 [24]
2010/27 Sun 2nd - 1, 6, 12, 24, 32, 41 [44]
2010/27 Sun 1st - 2, 15, 22, 29, 30, 37 [42]

In both filters you can adjust the counts of numbers to match(0 to N numbers). Are these examples similar to what you need?

Hi, thanks for the example, let me try to make it more clear the meaning of the filter, in the attachment is an example of a WN table, there is one reference draw selected and by applying the alghorhytm: "Select all the draws that have in the immediately previous draw at least 2 numbers matching the reference draw" the yellow marked draws should be included.

Regarding your first question: I would like to have them selectable as WN table so I could run the Analyze... option in the Winning Numbers menu.

Thanks

Sadly, after exhausting all the possible filter functionalities in EL I came to the conclusion that up to now there is now way to select draws in WN table based on their Draw_Number, considering that this is the main link in my desired algorhythm, with other words, select the N+1 row of a the each given row that matches a given set of numbers from the latest WN entry. Maybe it should be called "Follower of Match Winning Numbers"...:))

I don't know of any filters in EL that can use numbers from a reference draw in that way. I think the closest to what you are looking for is to use the 'Pair Announcers' statistics(under ->'Announcers' folder in the statistics list). Pair announcer statistics show the occurrences of ticket numbers that immediately followed "pairs" of numbers from a selected draw. You can choose which ticket or draw to analyze from the 'Select' button.

The easiest and most effective way I have found to display, filter and analyze results from the WN table, is to setup a complex filter and use the 'Back-test' feature. When you run a back-test on the filters there, you have the option to analyze and export the accepted tickets. To analyze the accepted tickets, at the bottom of the back-test window click on, "Show accepted draws only" button. Then to the right of that button select "Analyze" button. Let me know if you need more information.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I don't see how to add any of the 1/2/3/4 Announcers to a: Complex Filter / Complex Analyzer / Ticket Analyzer since they are not available neither in the Available filters list or as a drag & drop from the Filters panel at the right of the screen...or am I missing something?

Here's a quick guide of how to create an Occurrence filter in a complex filter...

In the main menu;

- First create a new Complex Filter; File-> New-> Complex Filter(or press F2).
- In the complex filter Design button window, click on where it says "Add group". A "Filter Group" will be added.
- Now open a ticket analyzer; Winning Numbers-> Analyze...-> and Select-> 'All' draws, press 'OK'. Then click 'Next>'.
- In the available statistics list, find the folder for 'Announcers', and check mark it.
- Click 'Finish'. The analyzer window will open.

In the top of the analyzer window where it says 'Show:' use the drop down list and choose "Pair Announcers". This will display the pair announcer statistics table for the latest draw in your WN table. From this statistics table you can select and copy table rows of the numbers you want to filter.

Example. If your latest draw was 5,8,10,30,38...then any pair of those numbers are considered a Pair Announcer(e.g. 8 & 30 are one pair announcer). If you look at the statistics table you will see which numbers have the highest occurrences to follow any pair of these numbers. Simply select/highlight the table rows of the numbers you want. Then Copy(press Ctrl + C). Now go back to the complex filter design button window and click on the "Filter Group" and use Paste(press Ctrl + P). This will paste an 'Occurrence' filter in the group. Click on the occurrence filter to display its setup options, and to use the Back-test, Run, Performance buttons at the top as needed(or just right click directly on the filter to select these options).

Thanks a lot for the advice. I have a question, when you mean "Simply select/highlight the table rows of the numbers you want." I should select the numbers with the highest occurrence (e.g. those are followers of the pair announcers) or should I select the numbers that represent the latest draw (regardless of their occurrence value? Let's say the latest draw is: 1,10,20,30,40 and the occurrence ranking (descending) is 8,23,45,3,10,27,20....should I use 8,25,43,3...or should I use ONLY 10,20,etc...?

I did both options (only the numbers from the last draw OR the top 10 in occurrence ranking), pasted them set in the Occurrence [Pair Announcers] options: At least 2 to 5 in each ticket, Select..: All...draws and in the back-test failed all the tickets (none accepted).

If the reference numbers are 1,10,20,30,40 then 10,20 in the pair announcers are just repeat occurrences. So it's preference. I usually back-test a little at a time(maybe start with 3 highest occurences) until I find how many tickets I need for a specific strategy.

The Number Announcer occurrence filter doesn't work, it's a bug(sorry). It worked fine in version 5.7, so I will report it. However, the number announcer analyzer statistics are still correct.
Here's a quick workaround til it gets fixed;

- Run a Pair Announcers analyzer as usual, and copy the ticket number table rows you want.
- Then in the complex filter, add a 'Match Numbers' filter to the group using the 'Add filter'.
- Then paste the numbers into the match numbers filter using the clipboard icon on the right, and setup the 'Match Count:' as needed.
- To keep track of what the numbers represent in the match numbers filter, type in the-> Notes: in the upper right of the filter to say "Number Announcers".

Thanks a lot for the workaround. when you report the bug add that the Paste from the Analyzer does not work correctly, I had to 1)Clear the matrix 2) Paste the clipboard (which brought an extra number that was not actually in the selection from Analyzer 3) Click the X and only after that it cleared the extra number.
