how to create optimized combinations

how to create optimized combinations

Postby Paulo » Wed Jul 26, 2006 5:29 pm

Hi Stan,

How to create optimized wheels?

Ex:

Numbers = 20
Pick = 6
Guarantee = 5
Condition = 6

300 combinations, wheel by Covermaster, 60%.

Thanks

there are two options:

1) generate all combinations from 20 numbers and then use the minimizer filter

2) use random ticket generator from a reduced set of numbers and set 'maximum overlap' to e.g. 4 or 5 numbers. then you'll have to stop the generator when the progress indicator stops moving (the generator cannot find more tickets that wouldn't overlap with those generated so far). however such a wheel won't full coverage.

there are some examples in application's help.

Hi Stan,

Thank you replay.

And how to create this optimized wheel?

Numbers = 80
Pick = 50
Guarantee = 18
Condition = 20

Thanks

i don't think you'd be able to create an optimized wheel for a pool of 80 numbers while drawing 50 numbers - you'd need a couple of hundred of gigabytes of free ram and a few weeks of computing time (just guessing here:)
and i doubt you'll find any software that will help you with this...
(but let me know if you will find it, i'd be interested in it too:)

not really, it deals with generic algorithms for wheel creation, even expert lotto has a similar algorithm built in. the problem is that your input parameters (50 numbers drawn out of 80) are probably beyond the capability of todays home computers...

Hi Stan,

Look this:

--------------------------------------------------------
Using "The Standard Deviation Function" the results of your Designs will be by far better than the Covering Designs and the will be optimized for the sets you specify (B parameter).

There are NO limitations of parameters either using such a function.
Any B, any K imagine!!!!

Speed, immense.

Accuracy, excellent.
