Overlap Question

Would anybody know if there is a way to have EL Leave in all possible overlap 4's that exists among a set of combinations...instead of generating them with the overlap settings?

Basically, can we load in all combinations and have it keep only the overlap 4's?... or is generating them the only solution?

Thanks in advance...

try 'match package' filter and remove all 'match 5s'. but the filter would take forever i think

Ok, I'll try it with a small file, thanks. I had thought about it, but wanted to make sure as it can take a very long time with big a file.

Ok it works.... and what if I want an overlap of 3?Would that be match 4 and 5 Remove?

Well it seemed to work well at first your suggestion, however I put in a larger file and after 2 hours of waiting with only Match 5 checked and "Remove" option, no tickets were left in the package. Any other way?

Basically, I want all overlap 4's that exist within 13,983,816 combinations. There is too much variation from an estimation file to another when using the generate random 4 overlap.

Logically, although slow,it should be much faster than waiting until the random function generates them all.

I think an overlap filter would be great cause we could test a few ranges of combinations with overlap of 4 to surround the next draw numbers and you might have a few ideas yourself.

I'm always thinking of that perfect estimation file without any bias basically...

the filter starts with tickets 1,2,3,4,5,6, 1,2,3,4,5,7 etc for which there always is 'match 5' in the package. so if you don't let the filter finish you'll get empty package. btw, the filter progress bar shows how many tickets passed so far.
i'd use random tickets generator with the desired overlap and let it run overnight. the resulting file should be good enough
