Upgrade from 2012 version to latest

I have a version of EL5 from 2012 and want to upgrade to the latest. Do I have to repurchase or can I buy the upgrade? I have
my original license key but it does not work with the latest download.

Suppose If my renewal update license has ended in November 6, 2013, and I now want to upgrade my Expert Lotto 5.5 to the latest version Expert Lotto 5.8 (December 22nd, 2015), then I have to buy three renewal update license after the expiration date of my old license (from 6 November 2012 to November 6, 2013)?

1st (from November 6, 2013 to November 6, 2014) = $19.95
2nd (from November 6, 2014 to November 6, 2015) = $19.95
3rd (from November 6, 2015 to November 6, 2016) = $19.95

$19.95 x 3 = $59.85

I'll have to pay for such renewal update license $59.85?

Or to change from the old version Expert Lotto 5.5 to the new version of the program Expert Lotto 5.8 in this case would be enough to buy only one ($19.95) renewal update license?

What is understood by the new Expert Lotto release for $19.95 in this case?

If you do not want to pay for application updates renewal, you can still use all the features available in the version of Expert Lotto you have installed on your computer. However you cannot upgrade to new Expert Lotto releases."

Stan responded to my private message that I also sent yesterday and said I just needed the $19 upgrade to move to the latest version. He also
sent the installer for the older version so I could use my existing license if I chose not to update.

I purchased the upgrade just to support a great product. Thanks Stan!

Just to clarify - the renewal license gives you one year subscription to application updates since the date of the renewal purchase. So by purchasing the renewal license you're getting the current latest version of Expert Lotto (no matter when your registration license expires) and all new versions that will be release within that one year since your purchase.
