First/Last Digit Filter

First/Last Digit Filter

Postby Ophiuchus » Sun Sep 20, 2009 3:24 pm

I have included an attachment to show the issue. I am trying to filter out the last digit so that I only have combinations in my set that look like this

6,14,15,17,32,37

Notice that only 17 & 37 have the same last digit. I have included two screen shots because as I was paging through the set for completeness. I saw a combination that looked like this:

1,2,6,12,26,36

I feel like this combination should have been removed because I donot want 3 balls witht the same last digit just 2 balls. Am I setting my filter correctly.

It appears that that when I set the filter to give me two last digits in a set this filters correctly without there being three balls with the same last digit. example:

3,16,17,26,35,37

16 & 26 plus 17 & 37

Hello Ophiuchus,

I think the problem is how the filter is set compared to what you want.
In the examples that you sent, the first one looks OK.
The second example 1 2 6 12 26 36 has the 2 and the 12 that match your criteria of having 2 of the same last digit in it.
Your filter is set to give you the tickets that have exactly 2 numbers of 1 last digit, and that criteria is met.
I don't think the filter "sees" the numbers 6,26 and 36 because it already matched what you asked for.
You might want to try 0 to 2 instead of 2 to 2, that way you won't get tickets that have more than 2 last digits of any one number. That is, if that is what you are looking for.

Regards,
Martin
