Maximise 5# Wins

Hi Alcymart,
I notice with a 40/6 lotto if you filter all combinations of the lottery for the exact sum, it passes the 6# winning combination but does not pass any 5# wins. If instead you filter for the width of the ticket ( digit 6 - digit 1 ) although it passes about 10x combinations there are many 5# wins. If you reduce the number of combinations to be the same as filtering for the exact sum, you still end up with about 3-4 5# wins.

Could there be some sort of figure of merit for filters, and they could be rated for their ratio of higher categories wins?

Just a thought.
