How to count sequent numbers!!

Hello again,
Thanx for replying to all my queries! But as usual i have another one now

If for example i have a lottery draw of 6/49 as follows:

1 2 3 4 5 6
2 5 8 9 10 45
12 14 15 16 17 49
11 12 25 47 48 49

In the first row there are 6 sequent numbers. (1,2,3,4,5,6)
In the second one there are 3. (8,9,10)
In the third one there are 4. (14,15,16,17)
And in the fourth one there are 2 (11,12) and 3 at the last (47,48,49)

I want the formula for this in Excel 2000. I've been looking for it 3 days and there is no way :wand: . I hope you can help me out!

Not real sure what you are wanting to do here but those counts can be found in the Statistics page. Calculate Stats for Winning Numbers and Show Stats for Successive Numbers.

there are stats for 2,3,4 consecutive numbers. you can add your own stats using filters...

Refering to your comment above, i can see the stats filter for 2,3,4 consecutive numbers but how can i create my own stats filter? I've gone through all the programme but still don't get it..hope u can help me out!!

it's in beta version only, go to statistics, calculate the stats first, then select 'filters' in 'show stats for' and then click 'add filter' button at the bottom of the table...
