yeah , i am aware of that , but it has been a check to make sure am using correct segments for the max segment filter, seeing as package stats seem to be incorrect.

it was my request for the last segment combination be highlighted,on the calculator, though what i was trying to ask for is that you could select from previous draws what segments could be overlayed and in colour .

for instance
last draw yellow
2nd last draw blue
etc

but only if its agreed its a good idea

Package Stats After Filtering

I'm lost, don't understand why this happens. I used Padawan's instructions and they are great. Loaded the package with last draw skipped. Calced Stats for Package only, filtered for Segment 2-0-1 to leave as the first image shows. Clicked Package stats, why does all the other Segments still show for Col O? The stats view shows only Segment 2-0-1.

i am still having trouble here. with everything up to date , i created package of ten games and the segments are incorrect

Do not use segment combinations from past drawings for the Multiple Segments Filter to process as none of the past segment pattens repeat from draw to draw. Only use segment patterns that are for the present possibilities for the next drawing.

i am only using package stats,of the package in use ,(freshly created after updating stats) initially worked fine, now all combinations removed. i feel it has something to do with incorrect segment details in package stats.

i tried it with the details from post above.exported segments, cleaned up ,so as only segments separated with comma.run the filter without filtering -5 to -7 and still all combinations removed, with leave applied.

have done some testing and have found this;

when using max segment filter i export from package stats the segment combinations

i filter with max segment filter from exported combinations and all tickets are removed.

when i use draw simulation or the calculator to find a tickets segment combination and use in max segment filter that ticket remains in package.

so no draws are skipped , the stats calculated before producing package.

so i am still stumped by why package segment stats dont match what they should if drawn next, and so is max segment filter, it uses package stats and in turn removes all tickets.

i thought i had this filter working when first used as i used package stats and not all tickets were removed.

i have re-installed e.l , though i did just copy back in my lotto's with user properties etc.

please help, i can not do anything with confidence until this is rectified

The package statistics show statistical data only for the tickets which are in the pakage. If you remove a ticket from the package you can't expect to find statistical segment values for it in the package. And if you skip the draws between the tests you change the data base and you must get a different result.

Make simulation with the ticket 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 again and write down the resulting segment line.

Place the ticket 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 in the package (just this single ticket) and open the Package Statistics. Write down the segment line shown in the Package Statistics.

And finally, run Segment calculator.

In all 3 situations you should get the same segment line. And don't skip draws between these tests, do it with the same data base.

i did exactly as you described with no breaks,changes, draw skips etc,
and the package stat differs from the simulation and the caculator
do your stats from sat.au match my 123456 ticket in previous post?

Yes, my segments in the WNH after the draw simulation with numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 are exactly the same as yours. And they are the same in WNH, Segment calculator and Package statistics. I have build 996 [J] and use 6/12 segments.

In your EL the Segment calculator works OK, but probably there is something wrong with Package Statistics. Unfortunately, I don't know what causes this problem.

thankyou jerzy , i have racking my brains trying to work it out.

i have the same build, and using same segment split.though i do tend to switch to 7/7 split to help filter and then switch back .

will search for previous build.

i trust stan will read these posts.

i think the most likely explanation for your problems with package stats is that package stats do not refresh themselves when a draw is skipped/hidden in 'edit winning numbers' window. you have to actually restart expert lotto to refresh the stats. the same applies to other package stats that are based on winning numbers.
i'll fix this in the next build.
