* the best tickets filter can show results table when finished
* the package win test includes an option to show how much money you won
* other minor improvements and fixes

(the new 'how do i' menu is not finished yet, it must connected with the updated help)


this is the last build with new features before 4.2.0 release. from now on i'll post only bug fixes and/or minor ui changes as we'll concentrate on help updates now. (well, if you can come up with something really cool and really simple, i may reconsider )

but pls keep posting feature requests. i'll evaluate them and add them to my todo list for version 4.2.1

hi stan. just wondering how the best tickets filter works?

What does the results box actually show in best tickets? Also I'll be glad when the help files are updated so I know exactly what all the new builds do or what can be done.

it's basically emulating the following actions:
- switch the visual package page
- highlight the numbers of the first ticket in the table header
- calculate the match summary and write it down
- highlight the next ticket and again write down its match summary
- (repeat the above for all tickets in the package)
- select xx tickets that have the highest values in their match summary

if your lottery strategy and filtering was correct and the package contains the future winning numbers then this filter should produce tickets that will have the highest score of lower-tier prizes.

the results table shows the match summary (as in visual package page) for the filtered tickets.

Also being I have never asked for anything new , would it be possible to mark in someway the user of course and show the actual jackpot winning numbers. Like you can have numbers picked twice a week but that doesn't mean someone won the jackpot.

Ok, US Mega Millions hasn't been hit since September and is now at $310 million dollars, so all those numbers that were drawn noone had. What numbers someone picked actually hit the jackpot.

so when the winning numbers are listed in the table (in e.g. wn page) you would like to see the jackpot hits highlighted somehow, is that correct?

Yes sir, of course like I said user would have to do that because the software doesn't know which week someone won.

An option in the Match winning numbers filter that filter this way:
"Must match by position"
I am not shure how cool it is- but maybe simple?

it is a simple option but imho it doesn't provide any great advantage in the hunt of jackpot.
but now it's on my list for new features for version 4.2.1
