Sel Function

Sel Function

Postby Maryland » Thu Aug 24, 2006 1:10 am

Here is a reply from Stan that I copied
click any row in the table with your mouse to highlight it. or hold down CTRL key and click more rows. the sums in the table below are recalculated as if those numbers were drawn.

I can't seem to reproduce this function or I'm doing something wrong.
If I click 5 numbers using Ctrl key, the sums at the bottom of the win history will change? Doesn't seem to do it for me. Maybe I misinterpeted.

Test of Number History _ Sel Function

Postby Midas » Thu Aug 24, 2006 2:57 am

On retest of the Sel Function against a number of lotteries, it works OK. Methinks you encountered the same problems.

Quotes by Stan:

http://www.expertlotto.com/en/forum/for ... ead&id=301

(1) i'll try to fix the scrollbar settings instead. { This is the main problem, when the window is minimised the Sel function is currently turned off. So users quite easily by mistake (as I did) pick up the wrong "Sum" values, since these are the only ones showing. This is easily done in our enthusiasm to get some numbers. The solution offered should cure this problem.}

(2) try the demo expert lotto 6/49 lottery:
first select this range of draws: 1st wed only, dates 1/2004 till 28/2004 (240) draws should be selected. the sums for this date are 361,786,1206,...
now select range: 1st wed only, dates 1/2004 till 27/2004, new sum values are 382,766,1182,...
then if you highlight winning numbers from draw 1st wed 28/2004 in the numbers table the sel row should show sum values for that draw, i.e. 361,786,1206,...

{Try various lotto and justify for yourself. Hope it's OK}

The Ctrl key selection of a row results in a count on the select line, showing how many numbers you have selected (Highlighted). Clearly a good way to keep track of the number of rows selected as you scrollup and down the page. A depressed double upwards arrow or double downwards arrow allows the user to highlight and select blocks of numbers. Good Luck ;-)

Didn't work on different lotteries either George. Could you possibly paste a screen of what I'm suppose to see if the function works?

it's not turned off, the horizontal scrollbar just hides the second table row. unfortunately the table dimensions are in perfect 'match' with the scrollbar size so there's not even a hint that there's another table row.
just expand the main application window horizontally (if you can) and you should be ok.
