Positions of numbers in columns and rows of History Differences tab is calculated by EL not by any plugin, and plugins probably cannot change the order of numbers in the History Differences tab.

In my experience the values which work 100% with Numbers Order in Columns filter have nothing in common with number order displayed in the History Differences tab.

For each position the setings could be from 1 to 6. There are 6 positions, and if the particular setting occurred at one position it cannot be repeated at any other position in this column.

Finding the right setting for this filter can be done only by trial and error method: Skipping the draw you want to test, placing the jackpot ticket in the package (no other tickets, 1 ticket only), selecting one columns only, Position Count Min 1 Max 1, Column Count Min 1 Max 1, selecting one position at a time, and selecting one value for the position at a time, using Leave and Previev, and if a given Value removes the jackpot ticket, the setting is wrong, if the value tested preserves the jackpot ticket, the value is correct.

Very interesting filter, even in its current form it could be very effective, but probably something needs to be changed in it.

Hi Jerzy,
I was hoping to use the "History Differences Tab" to get quicker statistics
rather than the slower trial and error method.

If only there was an easy way to get statistics to analyse this filter!
daniel

P.S. Here are the position numbers for the last 5 draws of our lotto.
Column 0 Column -1
5,3,2,1,6,4 6,1,4,3,2,5
6,5,1,2,4,3 2,3,1,4,5,6
6,2,1,3,5,4 1,2,3,4,5,6
6,2,1,4,3,5 4,6,1,2,3,5
3,2,1,5,4,6 1,6,5,2,3,4

Daniel,

720 different 6 number combinations can be produced using numbers 1 through 6 (no numbers repeated within the combinations).

It would be worth to know which combination occur most commonly and which are uncommon. And how these combinations or their parts are repeated.

Of course, we need statistics.

Question About Numbers Orders

Postby CARBOB » Sun Jun 15, 2008 2:58 pm

Jerzy, I followed your instructions for the 6/14/08 Fla 6/53 draw. Tell me if what I did makes any sense. After findinding the order for each position, I ticked each postion and ran a backtest for Col 0 only, 5,2,4,1,3,6. The results showed 63% passed. Is that a correct way of testing this filter?

Carbob,

There could be only 6 digits or numbers to consider for each of the 6 position, one of them for each position, no repeats allowed. I try each of the 6 digits, checking whether it leaves or removes the jackpot ticket from the package. If the digit is correct it leaves the jackpot ticket in the combination. To make this test easy, I place only the jackpot ticket in the package and run Preview (no real filtering).

After finding the pattern of "order " numbers for each column I filter only first 3 columns to see how it goes. The settings: one column checked at a time, all 6 positions are checked and values for each position entered. Posion count Min 6 Max 6. Column count Min 1 Max 1. Usually after filtering col. 0, -1 and -2 only several tickets remains (4-5) in the package, the jackpot ticket plus several 3rd prize tickets included.

It is possible to test the pattern of "order numbers" for a particular draw for which it should be absolutely correct or for past draws by running back-testing to see how often this pattern occurred in the past.

63% for a single pattern occurrence seems to be too high. Probably we can expect 1- 3 %. I am not sure how exactly it was calculated , what was Position count in your experiment.

Carbob,

The Position Count Min 6 Max 6 can be used only for testing the "number order" pattern for one particular draw.

To prepare a package of tickets for the next draw, the Position Count Min 0 Max 2 or Min 0 Max 3, or similar setting should be used, and filtering with this settting all columns, one column at a time, would be appropriate.

P.S. Here are the position numbers for the last 5 draws of our lotto.
Column 0 Column -1
5,3,2,1,6,4 6,1,4,3,2,5
6,5,1,2,4,3 2,3,1,4,5,6
6,2,1,3,5,4 1,2,3,4,5,6
6,2,1,4,3,5 4,6,1,2,3,5
3,2,1,5,4,6 1,6,5,2,3,4

Hi,
I made a compound filter for column 0 and -1 but used only 64 possible patterns in each column, as in the attached screen shot. This gave 9185 combinations, including the jackpot.
daniel

Note: The compound filter does not "remember" values for this filter. :-(

Daniel,

720 different 6 number combinations can be produced using numbers 1 through 6 (no numbers repeated within the combinations).

It would be worth to know which combination occur most commonly and which are uncommon. And how these combinations or their parts are repeated.

Of course, we need statistics.

Has anyone brought this to Stan's attention? Without statistics, we are stuck with doing almost the impossible or a very time consuming feat. Going thru each column and position for every draw will take forever!! Also, this filter needs to work for any type game!!

Hi, Joe:

Thanks for your great filter!!!

According to the instructions:"Finding the right setting for this filter can be done only by trial and error method: Skipping the draw you want to test, placing the jackpot ticket in the package (no other tickets, 1 ticket only), selecting one columns only, Position Count Min 1 Max 1, Column Count Min 1 Max 1, selecting one position at a time, and selecting one value for the position at a time, using Leave and Previev, and if a given Value removes the jackpot ticket, the setting is wrong, if the value tested preserves the jackpot ticket, the value is correct." I make a back-test for my 5/39 but the both setting of Passed and Failed always are zero for all positions and columns. If my something is wrong? Thanks.

Best,

Hi, CARBOB:

Thanks for your attention!
Sure, in current status, the Filter has not yet worked for pick-5 well.

However, its consept should be suitable with pick-5 and other lotto games too. I believe firmly that Joe can resolve the problem soon. Thanks.

Best,
