After looking at the Match Number Distance filter just for a few minutes I realized that there is a lot to consider before using it. The first thing that I found was that each number distance combination represents only a small fraction of the total amount of combinations possible. Take the last number distance combination drawn and load a full package, calculate stats for winning numbers and show stats for number distance. Next click on distance to display and starting with the first distance highlight the latest occurrence and filter leave, then move to the next distance and do the same until you have filtered all 5 distances, notice how many combinations that you have left, not very many. Take the combinations that you have left and run them through the Package Winnings and see what kind of results that you get.

Filters that you may want to consider before using the Match Number Distance filter would be:
1. Successive Numbers will limit the distance of 1 right off the bat plus lower the amount of combinations that need to be filtered.
2. Sum Range will have no effect on distance but it will lower the amount of combinations that need to be filtered.
3. Odd/Even filter again, this will have no effect on the distance but will reduce the amount of combinations that will have to be filtered.
4. Ticket Positions especially ticket position 1 will be one of the most important as this will remove combinations that start with unlikely numbers. In a 6/49 a full package will contain first position numbers up to 44.
5. Panel here again this filter will have no effect on number distance but will reduce the amount of combinations and still keep you within the more likely combinations that will be drawn.
6. Number Groups will reduce the amount of combinations that you will have to filter and help keep you on the right track for a possible hit.
7. Match Winning Numbers; removing all of the past winning numbers will help but only by a little bit.

These are only a few ideas to use before using the Match Number Distance filter. Some filtering ideas such as the Match Number Distance are good but with such filtering ideas all aspects of the possibilities must be looked at also.
1. Consider the ability to remove all past drawn Number Distance combinations.
2. The ability to see if any past drawn Number Distance combination has ever repeated exactly such as say on 7/16/08 the Number Distance drawn was 7, 2, 4, 8, 10 and on 8/13/08 the Number Distance drawn was 7, 2, 4, 8, 10. It didn’t happen but what if?
3. The ability to limit the amount of times a Number Distance appears in each combination.

This is all I have for right now.

Hi Pada, if you have say the same number distance, what is significant does it have with the next draw? should one expect similar draw after the old one?
A past drawn Number Distance would rarely be drawn again anytime soon. A single Number Distance combination has only a few possible ticket combinations. Example from the numbers above in the quote, Number Distance 7, 2, 4, 8, 10 only has a total of 18 possible combinations in a 6/49 lotto.

Right now as I see it, the Number Distance filter would most likely be more to an advantage if you could remove all of the past drawn number distance combinations or a chosen range of past drawn number distance combinations.

Joe,

Welcome back!

The Match Position Distance With Latest filter has a reference to the "Position" only in its name. In the filter interface you can enter only the distances, depending on their sizes, and you can enter the Distance count. How does this filter work? How is it different from the Match Number Distance with the Latest Result filter, where you can actually enter the position and filter according to it?

And could you please fix a bug in the Distinct Rows Values filter. After running the Back-test in this filter you get a message "Error while processing Winning Numbers tickets. -1" The filtering and Preview is probably OK (I couldn't find any abnormality in it), and it seems to be a very valuable filter. But without back-testing its very difficult to see how the filter performed in the past and find the right settings for the future.

03, 04, 15, 34, 36, 45,
04, 12, 15, 33, 37, 39,

here at position 3, we get 0 distance, 15 - 15 = 0,
if you select 0 distance in check list this combination will get pass,

"Error while processing Winning Numbers tickets. -1"
Jerzy, there is no problem in coding and your back test, In column, if not winning number are present, then this error msg will occur, so give back test to winning numbers, which all the numbers are present in the Column,
