How to install plugin ..?

Postby LottoTrout » Tue Sep 29, 2009 3:20 am

On this page...

http://www.expertlotto.com/en/support/plugin.htm

it is stated that plugin files have a .plugin extension. But when I downloaded the "Number Position Ranges In Columns" plugin it has a .jar extension.

Can anyone explain how to install this plugin..?

Thanks.

Hi LottoTrout,

This plugin is a jar file type because it is one of Joe's plugins.

One way to install them is like this. Use the top menu in EL and go to Lottery/Preferences/Plugins. Click Install Manually and choose All Files for Files of Type. Then choose the plugins you want to install and click Open. Restart EL and you are done.

Another way to install them and perhaps the easiest is following. Close EL and copy all the jar plugins you want to install to your ExpertLotto/plugins folder on your PC. Start EL and you are done.

Thanks for your reply.

I followed your instructions but I got the following error message when I relaunched EL...

"There were some errors while loading application plugins"

Win XP Pro
EL v4.5.4 build 1080
Java v1.4.2_03
"Number Position Ranges In Columns" plugin

Any thoughts..?

Hi LottoTrout,

I think you should try to update EL and Java to the newest versions and try again. It do work for me with the newest versions.

1. Java 1.6.0_16 http://www.java.com. Click the blue Free Java Download button on the screen and follow instructions.

2. EL 4.5.6 build 1086 http://expertlotto.com/files/ExpertLotto-Install.exe. Save and install.

3. EL 4.5.6 build 1096 Jackpot http://expertlotto.com/en/forum/forum.p ... ad&id=1267. When you have downloaded expertlotto.jar from the link on this site, copy it to ExpertLotto/lib folder to replace your old one.

Viking:

Thanks for your reply.

I followed you instructions and installed the latest version of Java. I also installed EL v 4.5.6 - build number 1096.

After doing this I got the following error:

"Could not find the main class. Program will exit"

Any thoughts..?

Hi LottoTrout,

Do you have 32-bit Win XP Pro or 64-bit?

1. Uninstall all Java installations on your PC and download it with the link below. If you have 32-bit XP, install 32-bit Java. If you have 64-bit XP, install 32-bit and 64-bit Java.

32-bit Java http://cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enf ... s-i586.exe.

64-bit Java http://cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enf ... ws-x64.exe.

2. If the above does not help, delete your entire ExpertLotto folder and install it again the way I described to you.
