Match Single Segments with Prev 1

I used the above filter for January 4th results. Back testing with 14 Min and 14 Max with this filter produces the jackpot ticket. I do not see 14 repeats, do you? What am I missing. Thanks. :wand:

This filter is quite confusing without other data information to show you what the filter was looking at. If you count all of the segment 3 zero's and all of the segment 2 one's there are 14 matching numbers.

Well, Padawan, that is confusing. I would never have guessed that. It fits with the example, I will have to do some further testing.

Maybe Carbob, Jerzy, or Joe can let us know the objective and interpretation of this filter.

Elpidio,

I'm sorry, but the data in the column AG seems to be entirely incorrect.
The numbers in the row 39 are correct, but in other rows, for example 73 and 74, incorrect.

Thanks for the information. I forget not to include row 74 in my copy paste operation. I hope other members who read this thread must be
guided to disregard row 74, since for 36 draws data, we can only compute
35 previous matches.

This filter has two names:

1. Single Segment Repeats With Prev 1
2. Match Single Segment Repeats

Both names are inaccurate, confusing and difficult to remember. However, finding convenient names for such filters is difficult.

I understand that this filter counts the repeats of the same segments if they are repeated in the same columns.

I will use your own example to discuss this matter.

0 -1 -2 -3 -4 -5 -6 -7 -8 -9 -10
01/02/08 4-1-0, 3-2-0, 5-0-0, 2-1-2, 4-1-0, 5-0-0, 3-1-1, 5-0-0, 3-2-0, 5-0-0, 4-1-0
01/03/08 5-0-0, 4-1-0, 5-0-0, 5-0-0, 4-1-0, 4-1-0, 5-0-0, 3-1-1, 5-0-0, 5-0-0, 5-0-0
01/04/08 n/a, n/a, n/a, n/a, n/a, n/a, n/a, n/a, n/a, n/a, n/a

You need to compare the right segments in both lines in each of the columns, the 1st segment with the 1st segment, the 2nd segment with the 2nd segment, and the 3rd segment with the 3rd segment. And you need to count the repeats.

There are the following repeats:

Col. 0 = 1 repeat (3rd segment)
Col. -1 = 1 repeat (3rd segment)
Col. -2 = 3 repeats (all 3 segments repeated)
Col. -3 = 0 repeats
Col. -4 = 3 repeats (all 3 segments repeated)
Col. -5 = 1 repeat (3rd segment)
Col. -6 = 0 repeats
Col. -7 = 0 repeats
Col. -8 =1 repeat (3rd segment)
Col. -9 = 3 repeats (all 3 segments repeated)
Col. -10 = 1 repeat (3rd segment repeated)

If you add up all repeats, the result will be 14. That's what is entered in the filter. If you back-test with this setting, the filter will pass the jackpot ticket for 01/04/08.

We know how this filter works. And it is interesting to see how the settings for this filter could be calculated in Excel.

But my preference would be to shift all the values in the column AG one row down, leaving the cell AG2 empty or placing n/a in it. Thus 15 would refer to 08/18/07 not 08/14/07 and there would be no empty cell at the end of the AG column. Just my preference.

Previously, I only used this filter for Segment 1, but since I read Padwan's post on Segment settings, I tried using Elipidio's worksheet with all 3 Segments. This is for Cash 3, Segment settings at 4/11. Using repeats of 7 which is past due btw. It cut 1000 combos down to 5 in one big swoop. I've attached an image. My question is, did I set the filter correct??
