what operating system do you have?
did you install expert lotto 5 using a wizard installer or did you download zip archive only?
when you run expert lotto from command line prompt window, is there any other error message?

ok, and is there any error message when running expert lotto from command line?
do you have any firewall or antivirus software? does it help if you turn them off temporarily?

click windows 'start' menu, select 'run', type 'cmd' and hit enter to open command line prompt window. then change to directory where you extracted 'expertlotto.zip' file. then change to 'bin' subfolder. type 'expertlotto.exe' and hit enter. please post here what error messages, if any, you're getting.

to turn comodo firewall off you need to right-click its icon in the notification area and choose some lower level in 'defense+' submenu. i don't know how to disable avira but i'm sure there's an option to either specify an application as a safe one or turn the whole antivirus protection off for a while.

I did the cmd with the installed EL not from the zip before. I did it now from the zip. The same result. Comodo firewall i close it but avira does not close. I will try to run EL from the Safe Mode XP.

2 gigs should be enough
try running expert lotto from the command line again using 'expertlotto.exe -J-Xmx512m'

go to 'etc' subfolder and open 'expertlotto.conf' file in e.g. windows notepad. then look for line starting with 'default_options' and change -JXmx1024m to -JXmx512m (or try higher number to see if expert lotto starts then, 512 means that expert lotto will use at most 512mb of ram)
