EL5 - Full Screen Only..?

click the windows 'restore' button at the top-right corner of the main window. the problem is that the main window size when restored is the same as full screen size. so just drag the window title bar when restored and then you should be able to see resize window borders.
alternatively, click menu 'windows - reset windows' - it will reset all internal window sizes and positions and it will also resize the main application window.
(if you're running the application without toolbars and the title bar, then you need to click menu 'view - full screen' to cancel the full screen mode)
