Winning Numbers History and Repeating Numbers

Probably a totally obvious question here but if someone please explain how (or if) repeating numbers (numbers that repeat from previous draws) are factored in to the Winning Numbers History features I would really appreciate it. I've been unable to get a good handle on this even after studying the documentation at length.
