There's a new features in today's dev build - see menu Tools - Options - Statistics - Background. Now you can turn on colored backgrounds for columns in statistical properties tables. Personally I'm not a big fan of such prominent color but the requestor of that feature insisted it helped with visual recognition. So your feedback is very welcome.
