More computing power for EL

More computing power for EL

Postby Mirel » Mon Oct 10, 2011 6:06 pm

I am not a fan AMD or Dirt , I prefer NFS and I have a quad core Intel , but I liked the next clip ( watch in HD ):

The launch is over 2 days , more power at a low price . I have several ideas . I want to make wheels with EL and for this I need high computing power .

The processor was launched. 1850 fx 8-core version costs here 250 euro (in Romania) ,
much less than Intel option , Core i7 Extreme 980X that cost 1,000 euro , and which is faster( 2 times faster in Excel ?!) :

A benchmark in Java would be interesting. I found one , although Fx 1850 Bulldozer not tested yet with him which is useful for those seeking processor good for EL:

Look how fast are workstations with multiple Intel Xeon processors !
However good it would be calculations , random component is important in lottery . In Romania , last month , a guy has won over 50,000 euro ,
because of a random event : a small blob on the lottery ticket was considered to be a number ( number 22 was checked by mistake ) !
look on page 3 , on the lottery ticket , variant C :

Following more reviews I bought CPU Phenom II X6 1090T (3.2 Ghz , 6 cores , 250 $). Ratio performance / price is very good .
In games is not the first, because games , now , no use more than 4 cores ; here is a Phenom 1100T ( 3.3 GHz) :

Note that the difference from 1850 Fx bulldozer is no big . For gaming an Intel 2500K would be better now ,
but in the future when games will use over 4 cores situation will change .
In addition collaboration between AMD processors and ATI graphics cards is very good , and do not forget 8GB DDR3 1600 mhz memory .
Expert lotto works with Java . Java uses parallel computing , many cores = high speed :
