i'm on Dev Build too, when using NGP i have to set for a past draw range or a specific draw which has the desired pattern, but the problem is it only filters out combination with the exact same pattern.

Let say the draw i've choosed has 1211 pattern so the filter only filters out that pattern, other pattern like 2111,1121,1112 are being ignored.

Group1---Group2---Group3---Group4---Group5
-1-10------11-20-----21-30------31-40----41-50--

So if the draw being choosed has 1211, it has 1 hit in Group 1, 2 hit in Group 2, and 1 hit in Group 3 & 4. But what we want is all possible Pattern combinations from our Package. Therefore it would be useful to have a pattern range which considers all Group hit Combination with that pattern.

Cheers,

pusha.
First off you are talking about group patterns that only contain 4 number groups and then you are showing 1 thru 50 numbers that have 5 number groups.

If in fact you are using 5 groups of numbers the patterns would be.
11112
11121
11211
12111
21111
If you filter out 12111 you will be left with 11112, 11121, 11211, and 21111.
The group patterns of 11112, 11121, 11211, 12111, 21111 are group count of 5, if you want to filter out all of those group patterns go to Winning Numbers Analyzer>Number Groups>Group Count>4>Accept. This will filter out group patterns of 11112, 11121, 11211, 12111, 21111.

Hi Pada,

i forgot to mention the game, it's EuroMillions therefore only 5 numbers are drawn. What i wanna do is that i want to filter out all Tickets which does not have 2111, 1211, 1121 or 1112 patterns. Thanks for the Hint.

cheers,

pusha.

you can't predict number group patterns. the predictor operates over a simple sequence of numbers. it is difficult to translate each number group pattern to a single integer number.

Another question is does it make sense to check Performance for "Number Groups Pattern"?

the performance check is the same as for any other filter...

gatsby - i think your problem with disappearing number groups is caused by misunderstanding on your part. if you modify any filter group using 'customize' button in number groups filter window then the changes apply to that filter only. if you don't save that filter, your changes will be lost. see also here: http://www.expertlotto.com/en/help/en/f ... roups.html
you must use menu 'tools - number groups' to make permanent changes in your numbers or to create new numbers groups that will be available also after application restart.

Ok, different story here go to Winning Numbers Analyzer>Number Groups>Group Count>4>Accept.
This will leave these 20 group patterns
01112-11120
01121-11201
01211-11210
02111-12011
10112-12101
10121-12110
10211-20111
11012-21011
11021-21101
11102-21110

Yep,

that will work but when i choose Group Count "2" and want patterns with 3 & 2 hit in a Group the Analyzer Filter also filter out 4 & 1 hit in Groups. Would be nice to be able to reject 4 & 1 too, so i think a specific Filter is useful. I could filter them manually in Excell, but as i know Excell only takes 6x'k Rows in a File riht?

Not sure what you are looking for here but if you choose group count 2 & 3 accept you will have group counts 2 & 3.

Hi Pada,

if i choose to filter Groups Count with 2 hits the detailed Group Hit in a draw with 5 winning numbers would be 3 & 2 hit in 2 Groups and 4 & 1 hit in 2 Groups, but i want specific 3 & 2 hit in 2 Groups.

Go to Tools>Number Groups>Add, change the groups to look like this 1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-50, and Name it Decade. Load your package and go to filters>number groups>set each of the 5 number groups to Numbers in Group Min 0, Max 3. Set At least 5 to 5 groups must pass. Set Ticket must fall into 2 to 2 groups, Accept and there you go.

Hi Stan.
suddenly today when using number groups, all my groups disappeared after opening EL, from last closure of the program...Number groups went back to default.
Reinstalled windows to a restore point to see if they came back, but no.
I thought this problem was solved by the last update?....EL is always updated when online.
Haven't had this problem before.EL version 5.1.1 (120201).
Cheers T/T

do you use the same lottery folder? did you by any chance setup the same lottery again? number group settings are stored in the lottery folder so if you change lottery the settings will be lost...

i've just uploaded a new dev build (120206) that prints diagnostic messages if there's a problem with number groups loading. please upgrade to that build and let me know if you still have issues with number groups, thanks.
