No news when I start up EL5

I've stopped receiving news on my start page. Is it just me, I'm trying to figure out what I may have done?

Go to Help and click on start page and at the bottom of the page place a check in the box that says Show on Start up.

If the Start Page does open but shows no news you may need to check either your proxy or firewall settings.
