Creating a guarantee

Postby Meisterkeks » Tue Aug 23, 2016 6:37 am

Hello,

I want to create following tickets with Expert Lotto 5:
- Guarantee 3 of 4
- With 29 selected numbers (= principle 475 020 tickets) in 5 groups
- Group 1 = 2, 3, 6, 9
- Group 2 = 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19
- Group 3 = 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28
- Group 4 = 31, 32, 33,38
- Group 5 = 41, 42, 43, 44, 47, 48, 49
- Per ticket max. 4 groups
- Per group max. 2 figures

My approach:
1. Package / Insert / Full Wheel: 29 numbers = 475 020 tickets
2. Package / Swap Numbers: Change above mentioned Numbers of the groups 1 to 5
3. Apply Complexe filters with different filters

4. result with 9,792 tickets in "Package Table"

Application Log:

INFO [ACTIVITY]: Package - insert - 475 020 Combinations of 6 numbers from a pool of 29 numbers.
INFO [ACTIVITY]: New package content: 475020 tickets.
INFO [performance]: Insert tickets speed: 6690422
INFO [ACTIVITY]: New package content: 475020 tickets.
INFO [ACTIVITY]: Complex Filter - Filtertest3 - apply - Filtertest3: All must pass on 475,020 tickets in the Package
INFO [ACTIVITY]: Complex Filter - Filtertest3 - accepted 9792 tickets (Filtertest3: All must pass)
INFO [performance]: Filtering speed: 637 611 / s (12:00:00)
INFO [ACTIVITY]: New package content: 9792 tickets.

5. Package / Reduce / Optimizer:

Run ... .run ... .run ... ..Run ...... STOP

What am I doing wrong?
Thank you

Best Regards!

You can skip this step if you tick those 29 numbers in the ticket panel in the previous step. Then the full wheel will be generated from your selected numbers instead of numbers 1 to 29.

3. Apply Complexe filters with different filters

First click Show Current Coverage button to see what kind of guarantee your wheel provides. Then use the Optimizer the way you did already. The problem is that the Optimizer may take a LOT of time to complete. The processing time grows exponentially with the count of numbers in the pool. So depending on your CPU speed it could take a few hours to finish. You can also adjust the count of processing threads in application settings if you have multi-core CPU.

Thanks for the answer

- but where can I find the button "Current Coverage" for the 9,792 tickets to the filter?

- I expected that the guarantee preparation takes a long time, but the calculation hear sometime, and it is absolutely no result or error message displayed?
Thank you

Best Regards!

Look at the Package Optimizer window in your second screen shot.

Are you saying the optimizer finished and there were no tickets left after filtering?

Ok, then it means the Optimizer didn't find any ticket from the wheel. As I wrote before - click the Show Current Coverage button to see what the coverage is before running the optimizer. I presume the chances for 3if4 will be less then 100%

If you look at the attached screen shot you'll see that your wheel is missing 693 combinations of four numbers (from the total of 23 751). There are also 478 missing triplets. So you can't ever have 100% guarantee of 3if4 in such a wheel.

ok I understand! Then I have to adjust the guarantee of less than 100%, so I can get a result.
That's fine with me, since my 100% associated guarantees are not as important as the various filters that I previously significantly reducing the number of number (in the example on 9,792 tickets).

Thanks for the quick help!
Thank you

Best Regards!
