Hi Stan (or anyone else ), could you please explain what "period", "Rank" & "strength" show in the Stats / numbergroups / number groups table please. I couldn't find an explanation in the manual, or help files. Many thanks.

Hi Stan. Would it be at all possible to alter the number group filter so that it can go to say 25 groups instead of the present 20 ? This is because I have been experimenting with dividing the total lotto numbers drawn into groups of 2 numbers, which is fine for our 40 number lotto ( i.e. 20 groups of 2 gives you 40 numbers). But we also have another lotto game that uses 45 numbers, & therefore 20 groups is not quite enough if I wish to divide the total 45 numbers into groups of 2. Many thanks.

It's more the filter side of things I am after., e.g. I am wanting to filter 23 groups of 2 numbers. Not sure, but don't think matrix will do this??, & the number group filter only goes to 20 groups? Thanks Stan

i think that having number groups of size '2' is abusing the concept of number groups:)
where are you aiming with this?

Hi Stan. I thought you might ask that (LOL) I have been experimenting by dividing the total 40 numbers of our regular Sat lotto into 20 groups of 2 numbers. I have found that by using the number group filter to filter the groups, & by selecting only 6 groups (because our lotto is pick 6, or has 6 numbers in each game), & setting each of the selected 6 groups to min 1 max 1, you can reduce the tickets in the package from a max of 3838380 generated tickets to a mere 64 tickets in one go. Looking at the past drawing history, I have found that when you look through all the winning numbers from previous draws, they are nearly always spread over 6 number groups ( that is if you have used the 40 numbers & divided them into groups of 2), if this is the case & if you select the correct 6 groups you always end up with the jackpot ticket plus lots of minor prizes from your 64 tickets, & if not a Jackpot ticket, then nearly always a second division Plus lots of minor prizes. The trick is obviously in selecting the next draws 6 groups correctly, ( this is the part I am wanting help & suggestions from Expert Lotto users with) However, even if you only get 4 or more groups correct, you can still collect lots of minor prizes. You can also reduce the 64 tickets further by using other filters such as sums, odd/even, hi/lo etc. & still retain the jackpot ticket. Depending on the total numbers drawn in a lottery game the above system(my own idea), can be adapted to other games as well, however, it won't work with any games that contain 41 or more numbers. Thus my request to change the number groups filter to take more than 20 groups, so others can try the above system & make suggestions to improve it. I'll be interested in everyones comments.

Thanks,

Hi Da80th I used the "number group" filter. I firstly set the "Customise groups" to 20. In our lotto this gives you 20 groups of two numbers, as we have a total of 40 numbers in our lotto, from which 6 winning numbers are drawn. I then made sure that both boxes in all 20 groups where set to "0". Next choose 6 groups & check that each group you choose is set to "numbers in group min=1 and max=1". Set logical condition to "and" Uncheck the box "check that ticket falls into -------- number groups. Press "apply" button & see what you are left with. To get the idea of how it really works you need to back test it with known groups, for a particular game, then using the win test/winning numbers/test function, see what prizes you would have won had you selected the correct 6 groups. You may have to adapt the above to suit your particular lotto type. e.g. if you are playing pick 5 (5 numbers in a game), then you will only need to select 5 groups instead of 6, or you will end up with no tickets in the package. You may want to print this out & go through it step by step. Good luck

I got it. Thanks

hi Stan,

However, I would like make a request that the Number Group setting allow user to select own favorite numbers per group. For example, if you select two numbers per group and with the current setting EL will automatically give you #1 and #2 in first group, #3 and #4 in second group..... can we enter our own favorite number in each group (without each number entering more than once per group).

Another group related is called Division 3 filter, each number are divide by 0, divide by 1, and divide by 3 (see table below):

0 = 3 6 9 12 15 18 21 24 27 30 33 36 39 42 45 48 51 54 57
1 = 1 4 7 10 13 16 19 22 25 28 31 34 37 40 43 46 49 52 55
2 = 2 5 8 11 14 17 20 23 26 29 32 35 38 41 44 47 50 53 56

In CA Fantasy Five 5/39 game, the last 100 game the Div3 122 (mean one number in Div 0, two numbers in Div 1, and two number in Div 3) appeared 18%, or about 5 times per month. When filtering a full package of 575,757 tickets with 122 setting you will end up with just 79,092 tickets.

My idea here is to have the Number Group that allowed the user to enter our own favorite numbers base on Div 3 table above, then base on statistics we should produce more lower prizes winning tickets and possible Jackpot with the right setting.

I hope I explained well enough?, if not please let me know so I can try again.

Thanks

I make a typo, it should be:

each number are divide by 0, divide by 1, and divide by 2

0 = 3 6 9 12 15 18 21 24 27 30 33 36 39 42 45 48 51 54 57
1 = 1 4 7 10 13 16 19 22 25 28 31 34 37 40 43 46 49 52 55
2 = 2 5 8 11 14 17 20 23 26 29 32 35 38 41 44 47 50 53 56
