Filter list windows

Filter list windows

Postby Trust » Sun Jul 17, 2005 9:34 pm

Hi!
I have a growing list of different filters that is set up as compound
or groups-the problem is that the filter selection list only handles
a limited number of filters. So is it possible to make the list scrollable
or something?

do you really use all of them? maybe you can remove the obsolete ones.
i'd need to investigate how to make the menu scrollable. another option would be to show only e.g. first 20-30 filters and allow to order the filters in the manager windows.

No i do not use all filters -the filters that are specific for only one
draw i usually delete. However it is sometimes handy to have some
of the filters for backtesting. Another thing is if i want to modify an
existing filter -it is not available in the filter list.(I know it is in the
manager window so i have to delete some filters to make it available)
Anyway i hope you can find a solution for this.

how about a checkbox option 'show in the filter list' in each compound/group filter?
the filter manager windows will still show the complete list of filters but only the selected ones will appear in the filter menu...

If i can alter the filters to show by checking/unchecking each filter
that seems fine by me.
(Note if i make a group filter of winning history it will take 1 filter
for each column + group them together = 12 filters listed)
So it does not necessary take that many filters to fill up the list.

yes, that's what i meant. the filter manager will present all filters and you can check/uncheck filters you wish to see/hide in the filters menu.
