First/Last Digit

Using the First/Last Digit filter, if I make a compound filter to:
Leave
LD=5
AND
LD=6
AND
Remove
LD=2
AND
LD=8

I am left with 1,047,835 tickets in the package

If I use a Group filter for the same thing

Select Last Digit, Check both 5&6, Leave and check the Logical AND
Select Last Digit, Check both 2&8, Remove and check the Logical AND

Using the Group Filter – At least 2 to 2 sub filters must pass I am left with 2,790,585 tickets in the package.

I would have thought that both filters would have the same amount of tickets remaining in the package :anx:

i'm getting the same results both for compound and group versions of the same filter. pls make sure that you have exactly the same settings in your filters

I've double checked them but still the same. In a 6/49 lottery what should be the answer, what I'm getting from the compound (1,047,835) or from the group (2,790,585).

If I know which is correct I might be able to find what I'm doing wrong.

my results are 2709585 passed tickets in both cases

I have checked the package after filtering and the compound filter appears to work OK,

all last digits 5&6 included
all last digits 2&8 excluded.

However, the group filter excludes the last digit 8 but not the last digit 2.

I have attached screenshots of the filters.

Are you sure You have used Logical Condition AND for both part of the filters in Group Filters?

yes, that's correct behavior because you chose 'logical and' within the first/last digit filter. that means tickets with ld=2 OR ld=8 are allowed.
compound filter equal to group filter from your screen shot should look like the one on my screen shot attached.

or you can switch from 'logical and' to 'logical or' in both f/l digit filters in your group filter and then it should have the same results as your compound filter.

I think I got it now for the Group Filter, to leave 2 or more digits in each combination in the package use the AND function, to remove 2 or more digits from each combination use the OR function

That seems to work
