Depending on how you have your Segment Defaults set Max Segments shows you which segment holds the most numbers. The last draw will show something like 18 [2] the 18 is the amount of numbers and the [2] is the segment. The other past draws are simular 2/18 (+1) the 2 is the segment the 18 amount of numbers in the segment the (+1) I'm not real sure about but, I think that there is an an expectancy of 2 numbers coming from the max segment and the 0 or the +/- numbers reflect how many numbers were or were not drawn from the Max Segment.

hi guys,

I think this is what Max Segment really mean (correct me if I am wrong).

If you see 2/18 (+1), that mean EL estimated 2 numbers hit BUT actually there was 3 number hit in that group of 18 numbers, that's why you see +1. If you see 2/18 (0), that mean exactly 2 numbers drawn in that group of 18 numbers, and 2/18 (-1) mean only 1 number actually drawn in that group of 18 numbers.

When you see 18 [2], this mean one of the segment contain 18 numbers and EL estimate 2 numbers will be drawn.

My advice is to test different default settings and when you see mostly (0) in each column and a few (+1), that mean you're on the right track.

Looking at the Max Segment Table and the last draw data 18 [2] or 16 [1] I find that there are 18 numbers in segment 2 and 16 number in segment 1 but, I now also noticed that Max number counts 19 and less expect 2 numbers drawn from that segment and Max number counts 20 or higher expect 3 numbers drawn from that segment.

max segments value A/B (C) means that the largest segment for the given draw had B numbers and that A numbers were expected in that segment (based on normal distribution). C shows how many numbers less or more were actually drawn from that segment

e.g. 4/30 (-1) mean that the largest segment has 30 numbers and 4 numbers were expected in that segment (30/49*6 - rounded up) and that only 3 numbers were drawn from that segment (3-4 = -1)

Stan,

Have you removed the WN History> Summary> Max Segments permanently from the latest build?
