It seems to me that the LD Patterns filter is the same as the First/Last Digits filter found in the Basic filters folder. Instead of using 0110111000 to filter the last digits you would check 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and At least 5 to 5 digits must be present, Accept to get the same results. There may be some other advantages that I don't see at this time though.
My idea of Last Digit Patterns is last digits patterns by position as I posted in the comments section of EL 4 forum Needle in a Hay Stack. The drawn digit patterns are quite unique as past winning numbers and rarely repeat. As in the Needle in a Hay Stack post I stated that each drawn last digit positional pattern removed from the package can remove 1, 6, or 21 combinations each for a pick 5, the amount of removable combinations increases with pick 6 games.
There are a lot of last digit combinations that only have one possible whole number combination. If you load a full package for a 5/36 and choose filter, positional, first/last digits, last digits, place a check in the digit box P1=1, P2=8, P3=8, P4=5, P5=7 choose accept and ok, you will be left with one combination out of 376,992 possible combinations.
Check past drawn last digit combinations to see how many combinations each LD Pattern produces. Load a full package for your lottery and choose filter, positional, first/last digits, last digits, choose last digit place a check in the position box of the last digit drawn for each position and choose accept.
There is no way in EL to filter past drawn positional last digits but, it would be nice and work similar to the Match Winning Numbers filter.
